Sodality Respite, Inc. was founded with the goal of providing health and hospice care to homeless and vulnerable persons in Richmond and the Tri-Cities areas. Our services are delivered free to those with life limiting illnesses and have no permanent sustainable housing. This program is designed to create an infrastructure that will allow hospice appropriate homeless persons an ethical option to live out the remaining of their life in a warm, supportive home environment. It is our intent to engage and connect clients to appropriate hospice care services that will provide 24/7 individualized care, nursing care, medical social work services, personalized meal plans, counseling (dietary, pastoral, etc.), hospice aid/homemaker services, comfort treatments/pain management; bereavement services, provider services and physical/occupational/dementia/music/speech and massage care therapies. We are driven by our dedicated fight to combat social and economic injustice of health disparities and helping individuals to live and die with dignity.

Like many 501(c)3 nonprofits, our organization could not thrive without the kindness and humanitarian support of others. In order to become fully operational, we’re accepting donations, gently used clothing, furniture, household items and other personal care items that could benefit our client population as we transition them to supportive housing. Your donation can make the difference in the life of someone who will be forever grateful.
Our organization is able to touch the lives of hundreds of individuals and families every year. With your support, we are not only able to maintain operations, but we are able to offer hands on support to those in the greatest need. We provide flexible and meaningful opportunities for individuals seeking experience building opportunities and/or just looking to change the life of someone forever or have them change yours.
Driven by our dedicated fight to combat social and economic injustice of health disparities, we desire to help terminally ill homeless individuals live and die with dignity in a true home environment, surrounded by love, laughter and compassion up through the final stage of life.
